Resident Evil Village After Action Report

Written by Lunar_95

Resident Evil Village released May 7 th , 2021 and was both published and developed by Capcom.
The game takes place in a remote, gothic village in Eastern Europe, featuring creepy castles,
misty forests, and an eerie countryside. The atmosphere is filled with tension and terror, with
every corner hiding something disturbing. The setting blends survival horror with a touch of
action reminiscent of the series' older entries.

You are Ethan Winters, who is searching for his kidnapped daughter, Rose, after being drawn
into a nightmarish village. Along the way, you will face strange and terrifying enemies, from
werewolf-like monsters to twisted creatures that were once human. The story revolves around
Ethan uncovering the mystery of the village, its inhabitants, and the terrifying forces that
control it while confronting his own personal trauma. The story introduces fascinating, diverse
villains, each with their own motives and unique locations

Resident Evil Village mixes survival horror, exploration, and action gameplay. You will solve
puzzles, gather resources, and fight enemies using both firearms and melee combat. The game
is heavily reliant on atmosphere, with moments of intense tension followed by adrenaline-
pumping action. What separates this game from others in the series is its shift towards a more
action-oriented approach while maintaining the core survival horror elements. It is the perfect
blend of the past and present Resident Evil gameplay. The horror and action elements are
combined into a seamless experience.

There is a customization system in which you can unlock new skills as you progress. There is
also an upgrade system for your weapons. In the in-game shop you can buy and upgrade gear
using currency earned throughout the story.

Resident Evil Village successfully revitalizes the survival horror genre by balancing action and
tension. The game's eerie setting, unique characters, and thrilling narrative make it a standout
title in the series. I rate this game as "Above Average" on our five-tiered scale (Bad, Below
Average, Average, Above Average, Excellent).
